For three years BthroughZ preached the gospel of horror, exploitation and low budget movies to the starving masses of deviants on the internet. Approximately once a month (because horror laughs at finite concepts like deadlines and time constraints) a wonderfully varied group of professional writers, hopeful fledglings and die-hard enthusiasts scrawled love letters to their favorite blood-soaked movies, television shows and books, all served with a delicious side of boobs, blood and bad words. It was a site like no other on the internet; it was unabashed in its dirty, perverted love and it didn't give a fuck who knew it.
Then sadly, one year ago, the forces of douchebaggery brought BtZ to its knees and it appeared to breathe its last breath. It lay in a shallow grave, rotting and fading, like a forgotten dead thing buried and hidden from mortal thoughts and eyes. But, like the undying Voorshees, it has raised itself from it's moldering hole to part it's decaying lips and bellow to the sky... BthroughZ is Back!!!

CLASSIC CAMP
Tarantula
by Bill Adcock
Jack Arnold (1916-1992) is best known for his prolific work directing such 1950s creature-features as IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE, THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, REVENGE OF THE CREATURE, MONSTER ON CAMPUS, THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN and TARANTULA. It is with this last film we're concerning ourselves today. While ...[read]

20 QUESTIONS
Julin Jean
by Jamie Brownlie
There's just something about a girl from Texas. I'm not quite sure what is is, maybe it has something to do with the whole "Everything's bigger in Texas" idea. It would explain Texas girls' bigger personalities and bigger talents. Or maybe it's because a Texas girl, more than any other kind of girl, is gonna kick the shit out of you...[read]

Hard to Die
A Movie Review
by Jamie Brownlie
This is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the best movie Jim Wynorski ever made. Now, I understand that this is a bold statement when you consider the man has made over one hundred movies, and sure, Chopping Mall, Dinosaur Island and Sorority House Massacre 2 are modern classics, but...[read]

CLAMSHELL MEMORIES
A Horror Fan's Coming of Age
by David Zeidler
My name is David Zeidler, I am thirty years old and have lived in Connecticut for my entire life. I would imagine that the story of my growing up and coming of age as a horror fan may be similar to many others in my age group. However, these experiences and fond memories are still mine and mine alone, and they never fail to seem monumentally important...[read]

BTZ BOOKS
Permuted Press' Rise and Dead Meat
by Jamie Brownlie
In the year that the site was down I've received no less than a dozen books from Permuted Press. Initially, I had planned on reviewing for the website Brutal as Hell, but after writing one review for them I discovered that I'm completely unmotivated when it comes writing for any site that isn't my own. So the books just piled up in my mailbox...[read]

CARRY ON SCREAMING
A Movie Review
by Zachary Kelley
With this week's BthroughZ, the tradition started here over the last couple of years of excellence in the world of horror and cult film writing carries on to the next level. To start things off, I want to say how happy I am to be a part of it. To celebrate I thought I would carry on a bit myself, and, oh, how I do carry on. No one in recorded history...[read]

LUNCHMEAT #6
Not so much a commercial as a crush
by Jamie Brownlie
As I've mentioned many times in the past, I've always prided myself on the fact that BthroughZ has never had a single ad on its (virtual) pages. No Google Ads and no sidebars hawking horror related shit. Nothing. I don't have against making money (hell, I wish I had more of it), but I've always felt that doing something out of love...[read]
