This webzine is dedicated to the movies that rule the world: horror, cult, exploitation, B-movies, Z-movies, and freaked-out Asian flicks. Everyone hears about the A-list movies, you can't walk down the street or turn on the tv without catching a whiff of the new Will Smith movie. Do i hate big-budget hollywood movies? Actually, no. Some of my favorite movies have big budgets, but the one's that are nearest and dearest to my heart are the little guys. In all honesty, I'll watch anything. I've watched more shot-on-vide-in-someone's-backyard-movies than you can stab a machete at. Are they all good? Nope, infact most of them suck harder than a $2 tranny hooker, but once in a while you come across a gem in the rough. A movie that transcends its $50 budget and bad acting to truly entertain. These are the movies I live for and these are what this site is about.

We're not trying to appeal to the genre fanboys or the hardcore gorehounds, almost nothing covered in this site will be new or surprising to them. I always pictured this site as a digital update of the old 80s cut-n-paste/xerox punk fanzines: not very professional, slightly out of control, yet always interesting. I want a collection of reviews, articles, and essays, written with love, by fans of the genre for fans of the genre, and those on their way to being fans of the genre. Essentially, i hope it will end up being a collection of cool people with cool thoughts and ideas about the movies we all love, and i think we're well on our way towards that goal. Most of the people writing for this are people I've never met and are from all around the country. I've got contributors from the East Coast to the Mid-West (where's all the West Coast people at?), all coming together to celebrate shitty movies. It's like a dirty, digital 'Hands Across America'.

I also want to say right from the start that we don't dictate content. People are free to write about anything they want as long as it fits the overall feel of the site. Horror and B-movies in general are a very subjective subject. I, for instance, hate Italian horror movies. Yeah, yeah, blasphemy. Whatever. You stamp the words Italy or Italian anywhere on the box and I ain't watching it. To a lesser degree that goes for the Germans as well. Actually, lets just say anything Euro. But my point is, it doesn't matter. The movies may suck, but if it's an interesting article people will read it and enjoy it. Just because my tastes run towards zombies, serial killers and scantily clad chicks doesn't mean I'm not interested in all the other great and shitty movies.

And finally, because when it comes down to it, I can't write for shit, I'd like to thanks my writers. For a bunch of guys who for the most part don't know me, they've done me good. Thanks guys.

Later,
MugWarT
